HI, I'M 

SANTINO GABRIELE

I'm a Personal Trainer, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Montclair State University. As well as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC), and Golf Fitness Specialist (GFS) accredited by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In addition, I am a certified Human Foundations Practitioner through Functional Patterns (FP).

MY STORY

I started my own fitness journey when I was 16 years old.  Like many high school boys I was trying to build muscle for sports and catch the eye of girls in school.  As i learned and progressed in the weight room, I started writing workout programs for myself and others.  This is where I my intrigue into the fitness world really began. 

I developed a curiosity for how the body works, how to increase performance, how to gain muscle, how to lose weight and many of the other fitness questions people often have.  This lead to pursue a degree in Exercise Science and a career in the Fitness Industry. 

WHY AM I A TRAINER?

My reasons for training are a mix of selflessness and selfishness. I know this sounds contradicting but let me explain.  

I love to help others reach their goals and overcome obstacles to reach those goals.  It is the most rewarding part of personal training and nutrition coaching, hands down.

The selfish aspect comes in because I truly find enjoyment solving problems.  Whether its a game of sudoku or figuring out how to optimize a clients training program to fit their limitations and goals, I find enjoyment from both.  Being a good personal trainer means you need to be a good problem solver and I am passionate in that. 

MY GOAL

 

To create personalized workout programs with personalized goals. Too many people are wasting their time training in the gym, with workouts that are not helping them reach their goals, simply because they don't know what else to do.  If you are a golfer, you don't need to train like a bodybuilder, if you play football you don't want to train like a marathon runner.  So, my GOAL is to make sure that everyone I help optimizes their training to the specific goals they have and/or to the specific sport they play.
